Project Coordinator

Contract position: Engineering client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Project Coordinator for a contract to hire opportunity in Alpharetta, GA. You need 2-7 years of similar experience supporting some type of industrial or heavy industrial (oil & gas, refinery, power plant, T&D, or similar) engineering or construction projects.

Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator
  • Your main responsibilities will bet to assist the Project Managers with project schedules, transmitting engineering drawing packages, reviewing project invoices, and similar project administrative duties
  • Keep and maintain project files including project email box
  • Some Document Control - Swapping out the hard copy drawings as they are received or revised from the home office
  • Track projects and produce monthly progress reports
  • Facilitate questions regarding projects and research information
  • Record minutes from Project Manager meetings
  • Process document and drawing changes and distribute to the authorized users in a timely manner
Requirements for the Project Coordinator

  • 2-7 years of experience as a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator, Project Assistant or similar position supporting engineering or construction projects
  • You need to be proficient with MS Excel and have experience with pivot tables
  • You need some experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera software
  • Experience filing & organizing documents at a high volume
  • Must have good organizational skills and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to effectively interact with Customer, vendors, and other team members on the telephone and in person
  • You need to be local to the Alpharetta, GA area or in a commutable distance
  • Any type of Business Administration or Accounting experience would be considered a plus
