Construction Manager

Contract position: Piping Superintendent opportunity with a client located in the Durham, NC area. Working at a Federal facility this position will be responsible to provide piping expertise to include quality control for all aspects of a high pressure hot water piping installation. Mobilization and per diem will be considered.

Responsibilities for the Construction Manager
  • Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in- progress
  • Works with the Safety Manager and Project Manager to fulfill any quality control construction needs
  • Update, monitor and evaluate the project quality plan and act as representative to the client in all matters concerning the quality of the project
  • Identify gaps and potential changes in quality management procedures that affect project operations
  • Participate in independent internal audits, assessments and vendors request
  • Other duties as needed and required
Requirements for the Construction Manager

  • Approximately 5 or more years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager or similar role with a piping focus
  • Demonstrated Quality Control experience for all aspects of piping in a industrial or similar construction setting
  • Working knowledge of field construction including systems, practices, general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods and sequencing
  • Familiarity with requirements of USACE EM 385-1- 1
  • Federal and/or DOD project experience is a plus
