Contract position: A Project Manager is needed for an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products in the Sunnyvale, CA area. This position will work with different teams to drive E2E oversized cargo transportation management procurement practices to increase speed, efficiency, scalability and long-term competitive advantage. - Negotiate pricing for each RFP/RFQ project to deliver substantial cost savings and select the best-fit carrier to improve cost saving and maintain operational excellence.
- Manage and improve the heavy haul sourcing Standard Operating Procedure with the company's commodity management team and Logistics transportation team.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in the Procurement/Sourcing or management consulting in either the Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Sourcing practice areas.
- Knowledge of or experience in creating RFPs/RFQs, conducting benchmark analyses, negotiating contracts and delivering cost savings.
