Project Coordinator

Contract position: Construction client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Project Assistant/Project Coodinator for their Alpharetta, GA office. You need to have 3-15 years of similar experience doing this for any type of industrial engineering or construction projects (oil & gas, refinery, power plant, T&D, or similar types of projects).

Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator
  • You will be part of a team that supports a large Utility program where you help document the construction activities associated to their power grid network and make sure they are in compliance with the federal agencies
  • You will support the Project & Construction teams by performing many project administrative duties
  • Keep and maintain project files including project email box
  • Some Document Control - Swapping out the hard copy drawings as they are received or revised from the home office
  • Track projects and produce monthly progress reports
  • Facilitate questions regarding projects and research information
  • Process document and drawing changes and distribute to the authorized users in a timely manner
Requirements for the Project Coordinator

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator, Project Assistant, Construction Coordinator, Engineering Assistant or similar position supporting engineering or construction projects
  • You must be very detail oriented to ensure that the client is in compliance with federal agency requirements
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Experience filing & organizing documents at a high volume
  • Must have good organizational skills and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to effectively interact with Customer, vendors, and other team members on the telephone and in person
  • An AS or BS degree would be considered a PLUS
