Hardware Engineer

Permanent position: A product design and development firm in Kansas City, KS area is seeking an Electrical hardware design engineer to add to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing electronic hardware and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities for the Hardware Engineer
  • Design electronic hardware, development documentation and review/approve manufacturing documentation
  • Develop and document design plans and engineering specifications for the electrical portion of a product design
  • Interact with customers
  • Develop product and system level test plans for the verification/validation process
  • Mentor less experienced engineers
Requirements for the Hardware Engineer

  • Experience designing and repairing/analyzing electronic systems; circuit design and embedded software development
  • Experience with Altium eCAD software
  • Digital design experience using a variety of microcontrollers and processors
  • Experience designing products for medium scale manufacturing
  • Experience designing circuits using high-speed memory
  • Experience designing display systems - i.e. touch screens
  • Experience with PLM systems, Oracle Agile preferred
  • Experience designing medical devices or other highly regulated products
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred
