An Electrician/ Maintenance Technician is needed for a leading water utility. The Electrician/ Maintenance Technician is responsible to conduct preventative maintenance, test, troubleshoot and perform repair and maintenance on all equipment at water and wastewater facilities and equipment. Qualified candidates must have 2+ years' of Electrician/ Maintenance Technician experience for a water/ wastewater utility, and candidates with related experience within an industrial setting will be considered. This is a direct-hire role located near Newport News, VA. Relocation assistance may be considered for qualified regional candidates.

-> Identify and acknowledge alarms on water and wastewater systems using SCADA/Telemetry; Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards -> Assure that electrical systems and components are in compliance with all applicable electrical codes and safety regulations -> Operate and maintain high voltage switchgear and controls; repair and maintain motor control centers and programmable logic controls
-> Electrical Journeyman license preferred -> OSHA High Voltage Certificate preferred -> Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a strict background check
- 2+ years' of Electrician/ Maintenance Technician experience for a water/ wastewater utility; candidates with related experience within an industrial setting will be considered
