A person in this position helps to create, maintain and control official documentation. Receives and logs requested changes. Edits documents and prepares them for release. Creates change control documentation. Updates database entries to record actions completed. Files paper documents and stores electronic document files.

I. Document management.
A. Create, update and finalize documents of various types.
B. Prepare documents and change control records for release.
C. Maintain change control process records in database.
D. Organize and file paper documents and electronic document files per established departmental practices.
A. Provide support to others in matters related to document preparation and control.
B. Miner internet skills sometimes needed.
An associate's degree (2 year) in a related field or at least 3 years relevant document control experience.
Valued but not required competencies: Education, Certifications and prior work experience Drafting background or mechanically inclined. Skills and Abilities Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool experience (e.g. Agile or similar).
skills: Ability to learn and follow multi-step processes and multi-task efforts, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work closely with people, follow directions and communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
Proficiency in operating PC compatible computers and software, including Windows, Microsoft Office applications and similar.
