job summary:
A prominent company in the machine tool industry is seeking a President to lead the US operations, in partnership with the German parent company. The President's responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and motivator of teams.

responsibilities:
  • Meets with key clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand of customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with about 30 Key accounts as well as smaller, Owner- managed accounts.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Development and Implementation of Country-specific sales & marketing concepts.
  • Managing the USA subsidiary
  • Providing Leadership to the team in accordance with company culture and strategy
 
qualifications:
  • Must have excellent negotiation, listening and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of technical products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable technical solutions
  • Proven experience and success as Managing Director or Sales Manager
  • Experience in marketing and sales of premium products with long sales cycles with mechanical engineering background
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in working for global companies, ideally with global players from Germany or Western Europe.
