Sr. Project Architect

job summary:
Engineering client is looking for a few Sr. Project Architects with 7-10+ years of experience for a contract to hire opportunity. There are positions open in Kansas City, MO - Nashville, TN - & Dallas/Ft Worth, TX. You need experience leading & supporting projects in Healthcare (hospitals, outpatient facilities, medical centers, medical offices, etc.). Client is looking for candidates local to these cities.

responsibilities:
  • As the Sr. Project Architect, you will partner directly with the Healthcare Project Manager to ensure the design excellence, financial health of the project, quality of project documents, team collaboration and communication on large scale healthcare facility projects
  • Lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions
  • Conceives, designs, and prepares working drawings for new or modified structures
  • Revise existing drawings and prepare new drawings of basic components from explicit verbal or written instructions or detailed sketches
  • Collaborate with Engineers in developing final drawings and completing design tasks using REVIT & AutoCAD software
  • Responsible for daily supervision of design and technical development of projects
  • At the outset of each new project or current assignment, prepare a project budget scenario and then track hours spent on project
 
qualifications:
  • You need 7-10+ years of experience as a Project Architect
  • You must have experience supporting projects in Healthcare (hospitals, outpatient facilities, medical centers, medical offices, etc...)
  • You need experience with leading the discipline design for projects and delegating work tasks to team members.
  • Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
  • Knowledge of design principles and the ability to interpret design concepts and layouts, including commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the profession required
  • Advanced knowledge of building regulations, FGI Guidelines, safety codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents required
  • Must have experience with both REVIT & AutoCAD software
  • You need a BS degree in Architecture (Master's degree preferred)
  • Licensed Architect with current registration in your region preferred
  • NCARB registration preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems required
  • Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines preferred
  • Experience in 3D rendering software utilizing a Revit model such as Enscape/Lumion preferred
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred

  • Must have experience as an Architect supporting & leading projects in the healthcare industry
