Great client is seeking a talented and motivated data scientist with a background in public health and/or health economics to join our Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) team. As part of our mission to " Build The Digital Biotech Company ", we see a central role for DSAI in understanding the impact of our mRNA therapeutics in patient's lives.

As a key collaborator with our rapidly growing Medical Affairs and Commercial business functions, this role would help define our data science strategy in these areas and conduct research such as modeling disease progression, quantifying areas of unmet medical need, and analyzing health and economic impacts in communities across the world. We are looking for someone who is deeply curious, exhibits an excellent work ethic, and has a desire to bring novel mRNA therapeutics and vaccines to the market that will improve the lives of patients.

  • Support and execute a wide variety of health economic and outcome studies across all of our therapeutic modalities via data analysis and visualization, statistical modeling and experimental design
  • Lead the design and development of best in industry commercial analytics and infrastructure, applying modern data science approaches in bold new ways for the biotech sector
  • Conduct relevant market research, leveraging all relevant commercial and publicly available datasets, continually synthesizing these with in-house resources
  • Inform the design and optimization of commercial analytics with external partners such as media performance and patient level data analytics
  • Collaborate with other data scientists, clinical program managers, epidemiologists and biostatisticians across the company
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related discipline
  • 2-5 years' experience delivering data science projects addressing health economics, epidemiology, and/or similar challenges, preferably in an industry setting
  • Demonstrated experience in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large and/or unstructured datasets and effectively communicating insights
  • Fluency in Python, especially the data scientific stack (Jupyter/Pandas/scikit-learn)
  • Track record of publishing scientific research and/or method development, preferably in the epidemiology, health economics and outcomes research fields
  • Familiarity with best practices in software development, including Amazon Web Services, Docker, version control (Git), and documentation
  • Experience in identifying, procuring, and integrating external data sources (e.g. insurance claims, electronic health records, patient registry, social media feeds, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Ph.D, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, data science, health economics, epidemiology, unstructured datasets, Python,- the data scientific stack (Jupyter/Pandas/scikit-learn), scientific research and/or method development, electronic health records, patient registry
