Logistics/Supply Chain Supervisor

job summary:
Will lead a team of 30+ hourly and salared teammates responsbile for production planning and scheduling as well as all of shipping and receiving/transporation. Full relocation assistance provided.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field
  • 5 years LOGISTICS experience (Truck and Rail) some Barge preferred but not required
  • Production Scheduling experience preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills
  • History of building high performing teams
  • Transportation Management Systems (TMS) desired
  • Plant start-up/greenfield experiece highly desired

Problem Solving - Identifying problems and analyzing complex data points or reviewing related information to develop innovative and efficient solutions.

Coordinating Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information and communicating with all relevant partners in order to drive the most effective course of action.

Preferences:

Experience with automated materials management and related technologies or TMS

responsibilities:
While utilizing their strategic vision and leveraging robust technology, the Logistics Supervisor will pioneer the strategic orchestration of materials both locally and across the enterprise. This person will provide leadership to ensure the successful movements and management of 3 million tons of material on a greater than 1-billion-dollar investment of a green field steel mill in Brandenburg, KY. The Logistics Supervisor will have the opportunity to grow and develop a team while implementing Operational and Commercial Excellence. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within the company; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
