Mechanical Engineering Manager needed for a client located just south of Indianapolis. Experience with Automated Machinery is a must. Also must be able to lead a team of engineers, hit deadlines and improve processes. Salary will be based on experience.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
- Knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies
- Ability to apply engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of custom automation systems
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment - Must include knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word; MRP/ERP systems; CAD platforms
- Excellent organizational management skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize the workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal direction

- Leads all mechanical and manufacturing engineering personnel and activities including design, development, and testing
- Implements and maintains engineering processes, objectives and initiatives
- Confronts and solves departmental performance and operational issues to improve overall efficiency
- Supports the mechanical debug process to resolve any issues preventing a project from meeting all requirements
- Mentors and develops the engineering team to continual higher levels of performance
- Supports a robust project management process by providing necessary resources to keep projects on schedule and on budget
