IMMEDIATE NEED!!! Engineering client involved in Power Generation & Utility Transmission & Distribution design build projects is looking for a Project Expeditor/Materials Coordinator/Procurement Specialist for a long term contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA (Fairburn). You need 5-20 years of experience related to construction materials management, procurement and/or expediting in support of heavy industrial EPC projects. ***
Rate commensurate with experience level and industry ***

responsibilities:
- Your main responsibility will be to manage the materials warehouse in support of a portfolio of Utility T&D construction projects throughout Georgia
- You will help coordinate the process of ordering the materials in MAXIMO as well as expediting the process to get the materials to the project sites
- Coordinate materials management issues with Contractors, Suppliers, Client and project personnel
- Quality review the receipt, inspection, approval and return of all materials required by the contract
- 50% of the time you will be managing the 3rd party logistics company and dealing with inventory issues
- 20% of the time you will be placing purchase orders
- The remaining 30% of the time you will be expediting and coordinating with suppliers
- Manage contract package requirements with the supplier's production schedule to ensure project milestones are being met
- Quality review the expediting process to identify and elevate potential fabrication issues or shipment delays and direct a resolution or recovery plan
- Consult with the supplier and the jobsite to coordinate deliveries and identify, report and resolve discrepancies
