Under supervision of the Operations Manager, we are seeking a Production Engineer that will design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment that will enhance productivity, product quality and employee satisfaction. This individual will be a self-starter, motivated, and a fast learner. This individual will also have a positive attitude and strong verbal and written communication skills.

salary: $45 - 65 per hour

responsibilities:
- Recommend process adjustments to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency and reduce material and manpower costs
- Develop, test, implement and document a variety of operational sequences and processes in the manufacture of new and existing parts and/or products
- Ensure manufacturing improvements increase employee satisfaction
- Support all engineering change activities impacting manufacturing processes
- Ensure all manufacturing documentation is accurate and up to date
- Perform ergonomic analysis as required
- Help ensure that all employees enjoy the safest possible work environment
- Troubleshoot a variety of production problems involving manufacturing processes
- Analyze production data and identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement; prepare and deliver presentations
- Champion the creation and optimization of automation in manufacturing processes
- Prepare training materials and train key production employees and production supervisors on new work procedures and manufacturing processes
- Design and purchase jigs and fixtures to aid in manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years proven experience in production/industrial engineering
- Proficiency using Microsoft Suite
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solid Edge)
- Familiarity with ERP software, experience with SAP Business One preferred

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to effectively lead and direct employees
- Lean Expert or Six Sigma certification preferred
