Civil PE Construction Project Manager

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the Construction Engineering on large capital projects.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion by coordinating with and building trust between Stakeholders.
  • Develop strong relationships with construction teammates, construction contractors and engineers, equipment suppliers and vendors.
  • Travel and mobility will be required for this position.
The location of the position will vary depending on the project site location. The duration at the site, will depend upon the scope of the project and the time it takes to become operational. The time at the site can be two years or more.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures and housekeeping standards to make safety a priority at all times.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Five years experience in Steel and Concrete Design
  • Five years Project Engineering or Project Management experience
  • Experience working with applicable codes, quality policies, standards and specifications
  • Experience working in multi-discipline industrial construction activities
  • strong technical skills and experience in steel making processes and the systems to support the steel making process

  • Attention to Detail - Thorough in accomplishing tasks including documenting work performed and taking care to make sure that expectations are met.
PREFERENCES:

  • PE License
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD, Microsoft Project and RISA 3D
