Manufacturing Engineer

job summary:
Manufacturing Engineer for a leading chemical manufacturing organization based near Saluda, SC. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements. To be considered - B.S Degree in Engineering (Fibers/Polymer Engineering or Chemical Engineering is preferred) with at least two (2) years of chemical/polymer manufacturing experience.   • B.S Degree in Engineering (Fibers/Polymer Engineering or Chemical Engineering is preferred)
  • Must have at least two (2) years of chemical/polymer manufacturing experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining process improvement projects
  • Ability to improve existing systems and processes by creative & innovative approaches

  • Ability to troubleshoot DCS and PLC systems
  • Basic understanding of PSM, SPC and ISO 9001 is also preferred.

  • Responsible for unit operating performance to include production, raw material usage, energy usage, quality, daily performance tracking, troubleshooting, and basic unit optimization
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the manufacturing unit, providing detailed process and technical guidance for the Operations Team
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements
  • Development of process changes to accommodate new products
  • Reliable production volume and execution of the production plan
  • Manufacturing cost control and improvement
  • Outstanding safety performance and consistent environmental compliance
