Well establised, very reputable and growing manufacturing company is looking for a Director of Accouting in the Sarasota, Florida area.

This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $120k to $140k plus annual bonus, LTIP and relocation assistance.

responsibilities:
Works with the local Business Unit Operations teams, the companies Accounting team, and CFO

to direct all financial activities of the business unit, including providing timely and accurate

analysis to help drive decisions. Leads Accounting and Shared Services

departments and all of its employees, with a focus on personnel development. The ideal

candidate is a thought leader with strong operating knowledge of accounting principles with

the ability to improve efficiencies. The Director is a self-initiator who enjoys working

collaboratively and cross-functionally with the broader organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Lead Accounting and Consolidations: This role will oversee all Accounting

teams with direct oversight of our key control considerations and review activities. The

Director of Accounting will be responsible for teams performing basic accounting

functions, intercompany eliminations, and consolidations for financial reporting.

-Lead Shared Services: This role will be directly responsible for oversight of the

Accounts Payable, Payroll Accounting, IBNR, and Warranty shared services. The

Director of Accounting will oversee the teams performing the daily tasks in these

areas, perform analysis to monitor the areas, and review key control activities. The

Director will also be responsible for implementing companies shared services model at

newly acquired entities.

-Lead System Initiatives: This role will oversee all systems implementations for the

Accounting department, and drive forward innovative changes to the way we process

transactions to support the company. The Director of Accounting will oversee all

master data changes, as well as the team leading projects for system changes to

support our accounting processes. The Director will coordinate with IT and other

departments to champion Accounting department system initiatives.

-Other Responsibilities: In addition to the specific areas described above,

The Director of Accounting shall also be responsible for:

? Accurately and timely completing of the monthly financial reporting packages and

annual financial statements.

? Improve and implement internal controls for financial reporting as needed.

? Communicating and liaising with internal and external auditors as needed.

? Coordinate with other members of the Finance and Accounting team to develop

reports for measurement of existing KPIs.

? Collaborating with Compliance & Audit to ensure the audited financial statements

and disclosures are prepared in accordance with companies reporting requirements.

? Serve as a primary backup for the role of the Assistant Controller with respect to all

closing processes and critical financial systems

Other duties may be assigned to the Director by the CFO and Corporate Controller.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have the responsibility to manage and develop the staff for Accounts

Payable, Business Analysts and General Accounting. The Director of Accounting will

develop future accounting leaders through talent development, training and mentoring of

individuals, as well as staffing and recruiting of necessary skill sets. The Director will also

play a key role in the design of the organizational structure, to ensure it is adequate for

achieving the departments goals and objectives

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

? Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Accounting Management.

? Manufacturing company experience preferred

? Big 4 Accounting experience (preferred)

? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent required. CPA and/or MBA

preferred

? Knowledge of ERP systems

? Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/Powerpoint/Visio)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

CPA in good standing preferred
