education: Bachelors

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or relevant field of study required
  • MS or MBA preferred
  • Blackbelt Six Sigma highly preferred
Work Experiences:

  • 7+ years of related experience in retail stores, logistics, and/or distribution center operations
  • Hands-on experience with work measurement methods; preferably, MOST
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience in a retail setting
  • Hands on experience in leading Six Sigma projects in a retail environment

  • Strategic thinker and leader with ability to understand business strategy, provide consultative analysis, and recommend insightful / effective solutions
  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving and analytics
  • Capable of driving insights to actions in distribution centers, stores, and retail corporate environments
  • strong project management skills and ability to plan and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and eager to succeed, with the ability to drive for results and influence decision makers , and team members across the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment with consistent change
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, areas of improvement, and formulate action plans
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and Power Point
  • Ability to proficiently utilize AutoCAD
  • strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, create technical reports, and make formal presentations based on findings
  • strong understanding of DC, supply chain, and tools/systems including conveyors, material handling, PTL, scanners, printers, POS, WMS, RMS, YMS, etc.
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

  • Lead a team of Industrial Engineers, Operational Process Analysts and Management Analysts and drive operational improvement initiatives in partnership with cross functional team members and senior leaders
  • Provide actionable insights into operational performance via data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of recommendations
  • Evaluate work methods to improve work methods to labor optimize labor
  • Develop project plan and baseline analysis, implement process improvement, ensure desired results were achieved, and continue assessment of new processes
  • Implement and design process improvement changes to increase performance and reduce overall operating costs
  • Develop management systems for cost analysis, workforce scheduling, and workload management
  • Ensure work is performed according to established standards, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure engineered labor standards and SOPs are maintained, followed, and updated as needed
  • Develop a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Duties may change; Team Members may be required to perform other duties as assigned
