An Intake Specialists answers client calls and performs intake duties to include assessment of client needs, referral to EAP or other resources and case management from call data entry to completed referral activity. He or she engages in problem solving and decision making relative to client cases that may include extenuating circumstances requiring a need to make judgement calls on disposition. The Specialist works with his or her supervisor on professional development, service excellence and team meetings and issues.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Customer service and verbal communication skills.Skilled with telephone answering and transferring.Understanding of and experience in behavioral health terminology, conditions.
• Triage, insurance precertification, computer entry and data analysis & clinical documentation
