Training Coordinator

Ultimately, the role of the training coordinator is to oversee all professional development, required training base on compliance and chapter 6100 and 6400 regulations, in person direct supports training, company policies and regulations as it applies to employees in the ID/Autism Department.

Responsibilities

• Map out annual training plans for Direct Support Professional Employees and managers.

• Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house) • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes) that applies policies of chapter 6100 and 6400 • Ability to apply policies and regulations into a training model that meet the requirements of chapter 6100 and chapter 6400. • Conduct department-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training method, requirements, regulations, compliance, and techniques • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and individuals served. • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records based on compliance and regulations • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment • Research and recommend new training methods as needed to improve program effectiveness

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role for employees within the human services field. (Specific to Intellectual/Developmental Disability and Autism)

• Strong ID/Autism background as an administrator, supervisor, or manager with experience in chapter 6100 and 6400 regulations. • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training in the human services field • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs of dept and employees, plan, develop, coordinate, execute, monitor, and evaluate) • Experience with e-learning platforms for ID/Autism programs • MS Office proficiency • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and keep accurate records • Strong communication skills • BS degree in Education, Training, Human Services, or related field.

CPR/First Aid Training

Complete Physical w/PPD

Valid Driver's License
