IT Help Desk Technician I

Our Mortgage Banking client in Thousand Oaks, CA is looking for qualified people to join their IT Team.

 If you have a solid understanding of Windows 10, some experience working at a help desk and have great customer skills then read on for more details about the responsibilities.

Our Client's Information Technology Team is looking for a competent Help Desk Technician  I  to provide fast and useful technical assistance on  computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. An excellent Help desk technician I must have good  technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.

Responsibilities:

·          Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance

·          Monitor and manage queue  for ticket assignment

·          Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions

·          Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers

·          Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel

·          Provide accurate information on IT products or services

·          Record events and problems and their resolution in logs

·          Follow-up and update customer status and information

·          Identify and suggest possible improvements on  procedures

Qualifications:

·          Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control

·          Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products

·          Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues

·          Excellent communication skills

·          Customer-oriented and cool-tempered

·          Experience with JIRA Service Desk a plus

·          strong knowledge of Windows 10 

·          Skilled in Microsoft Office products and Google applications(Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
Skills
  • Help Desk (1 year of experience is preferred)
  • Windows 10 (1 year of experience is preferred)
  • JIRA (1 year of experience is preferred)
  • Customer Service (2 years of experience is preferred)

  • High School
