Our client in the Downtown Phoenix area is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their government team. This is a long term temporary opportunity with potential to apply for a permanent position in the future. Reviews and or conducts the reconciliation of annual expenditures in excess of $2 billion between agency and division financial management control systems and the Arizona statewide accounting system. Produce financial data to compile quarterly and annual financial statements for management review ensuring compliance with federal CMS contract requirements.
Reviews and analyzes Service provider financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Division contract requirements. Applies standards and ratios to data to trend fiscal viability reporting results to Management and makes recommendations to Provider business operations. Provide technical assistance and training to contracted service providers and Division staff relating to financial operations and audit requirements.
Reviews and manages the division’s cost allocation plan. Conducts and evaluates monthly and quarterly reports for cost allocation and reviews impact with Management.
