Purchasing Coordinator

Are you a friendly and motivated individual who loves working in a fast paced environment? If so, we are looking for a multifaceted individual who can successfully multi-task the day to day responsibilities of a Purchasing Coordinator. We are looking for someone who is comfortable on the phone, has great computer skills, and has exemplary customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining professional working relationships with all office personnel and for promoting positive morale and attitude at the workplace.

Approve purchase orders and monitor all purchase requisitions to determine accuracy of information, costs, coding, etc.

Detect, research, and resolve all purchasing issues, examples would be incorrect orders, invoices, and shipments. 

Assist the Plant Manager with scheduling material deliveries.

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Initiate contact with vendors to check on supply and equipment availability, invoices, and purchase orders.

Obtain comparative prices and quotations. 

Make purchasing decisions based on information obtained. 

Compile and maintain reports, records, and other documents required, including auditable purchasing/receiving records.

Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, purchase orders, and vendor set up information.
