Oversees the GL Account Reconciliation process. Independently prepares reconciliations on a monthly basis and review reconciliations prepared by the Reconciliation Accountant. Works closely with the Financial Reporting Accountant on monthly and quarterly reporting as well as the Accounting Supervisor on processes and procedures within the Accounting Department. Works under limited supervision and in compliance with established policies, procedures, vendor agreements and regulations.
Leads the reconciliation process and works within Credit Union’s Account Reconciliation System to prepare complex general ledger reconciliations. This position will act as either preparer or reviewer of the more than 700 reconciliations done on a monthly basis as well as some that are done weekly. This position will provide day to day guidance to the Reconciliation Accountant and will manage the day to day operations of software used for reconciliations (Blackline).
Works with Financial Reporting Accountant and the AVP of Accounting in preparing quarterly/monthly Board reports (i.e. Capital Expenditure and Budget to Actual analysis) and external reports (NCUA 5300).
Works with and mentors the Reconciliations Accountant while reviewing their General Ledger Reconciliations.
