Immediate opening for a temporary senior level administrative assistant to work in the academic environment. Must have prior experience in the academic field and preferably 5 years of administrative experience. Will assist department with scheduling, meeting arrangements, communication between faculty as well as all day to day office functions. This is a fast-paced, busy environment. Ideal candidate must be well-organized, exceptional experience with Microsoft Office and have advanced multi-tasking skills. This is a remote role. Work from home.
ResponsibilitiesThis position informs, coordinates and organizes the academic functions of and provides administrative guidance and support to the Master's and PhD Graduate Programs of the Department of Biostatistics within the School of Public Health. This positions works independently and in conjunction with the Graduate Program Directors in the daily operations of oversight, management of academic processes and adherence to Department, School and University policies and procedures.
The temporary assistance will not be responsible for all of these duties, but will assist in maintaining and tracking progress, communications, event communications as well as providing assistance to the Department Manager and faculty concerning course offerings, registration and alike. The Department has approximately 21 PhD , 40 Master’s and 7 Undergraduate Concentrators.
