Randstad is working with a prestigious university in Downtown Boston to fill a position within their undergraduate academic advising. The ideal candidate will be skilled in counseling, with experience in a higher education and academic advising. This role will be onsite 2-3 days / week, with the option to work remotely for the remainder. Candidates will be temperature screened and have regular COVID tests administered through the school. Qualifications: --Experience in higher education required -Experience in training and development, advising, or related -Bachelor’s degree, in Counseling or a related field with 3-5 years’ experience preferred -A Master’s degree in Counseling is a plus
-Provide academic advising. Involves assessing academic needs; assisting in developing an appropriate academic program, course selection, internship and career planning.
-Monitor and document undergraduate academic progress and retention
-Consult with faculty on academic progress and issues.
-Work with individuals to cope with problems and make referrals to appropriate support services within the University.
-Work closely with other University schools/colleges and administrative offices as needed. Participate in additional administrative service work as needed.
