Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney
An international insurance organization has an immediate need for an insurance defense attorney with insurance defense experience licensed in Rhode Island. Work is remote / work from home.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) temporary role approved for 4 months in duration with a very high likelihood of an extension.
Job Requirements of an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney: (a) An active license (in good standing) to practice law in Rhode Island. (b) Five or more years of insurance defense experience. (c) strong writing and communication skills.
In this role you will be working on defending personal injury cases, specifically auto accidents and premises liability. Work also includes handling Rhode Island statutory arbitration matters.
Primary duties include:
(i) tasks associated with the discovery process (e.g., taking depositions, preparing interrogatories, drafting discovery requests, reviewing medical records, etc.);
(ii) drafting pleadings and motions;
(iii) case evaluations;
(iv) arbitration and mediation
