The Communications Manager will be responsible for managing communications for our corporate United Way campaign. The individual in this role will develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan to raise awareness about the program and drive employee participation. This role will have communications planning, writing/editing and content management responsibilities.
Develop, manage and execute communications plan and editorial calendar to support the campaign.
Develop campaign materials:
o Draft all-employee messages for campaign, including campaign overview, early pledging, pledging is open and thank you message.
o Draft and distribute messages for campaign-led events (e.g., Kickoff, Leadership Givers, Retiree Luncheon, etc.)
o Draft talking points/scripts for use by the campaign co-chairs or senior executives during campaign-led events.
o Develop and distribute weekly United Way campaign newsletter.
o Develop content for UW website throughout the campaign.
o Assist with management of graphics that will be used throughout the campaign.
Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
--Partner with Corporate Employee Communications Manager to distribute campaign information via St. Louis communication channels.
--Manage review/approval process for communication materials with co-chairs, executives and channel owners.
--Attend United Way leadership team meetings and provide counsel/strategy regarding matters that impact, or are impacted by, communication efforts.
--Provide communication tips and guidelines for committee-led groups. Review/edit communication materials developed by committee-led groups as time permits.
--Assist in development and management of post-campaign survey. Create survey questions regarding campaign communication, advise campaign coordinator on effective questions regarding the overall campaign, distribute the survey and summarize survey results.
--Provide recommendations for future United Way campaigns based on survey feedback.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
