A privately owned company is seeking a Human Resources Director to join their team. With over 500 employees, this growing company is in need of someone with previous HR experience including work with Unions. Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To
??? Lead and direct HR team and processes on property.
??? Working with Unions
??? Maintain thorough and current knowledge of all Human Resources/employee regulations and laws, and ensure that the property is in compliance.
??? Participate in EEO, Unemployment, Wage & Hour, Worker???s Compensation, OSHA, ADA, Immigration and Naturalization Service hearings.
??? Implement policies and programs to guarantee compliance.
??? Communicate new policies, information, and directives to all associates.
??? Manage and lead recruitment, interviewing and screenings for all positions on property.
??? Maintain associate benefits programs.
??? Set up, approve, and maintain all wage and salary programs, including performance evaluations.
??? Recommend and/or approve all employee transitions, i.e. new hire, transfer, promotion, etc.
??? Conduct and lead all HR related training classes.
??? Participate in and monitor safety committee in compliance with Loss Prevention SOP???s.
??? Establish and maintain safety incentive program.
??? Practice positive employee relations, including coaching, counseling & discipline.
??? Participate in and monitor orientation programs.
??? Develop managers for future advancement.
??? Ensure managers are using coaching, counseling and discipline to address issues/concerns.
??? Ensure Associate Opinion Survey is completed by all associates.
??? Develop and maintain suggestion box program.
??? Plan and edit associate newsletter.
??? Manage all personnel files.
??? Manage HR budget and resources.
Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
- 3+ years as a Human Resources Director
- Experience working with Unions
??? Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint).
??? Experience working in payroll, applicant tracking and other related HR systems
??? Understanding of HR policies, programs and trainings to be able to lead and facilitate on a daily basis.
??? Strong communication both verbally and written, with all level of associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
??? Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by associates and guests.
??? Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines regularly.
??? Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
??? Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
