This Investor Relations team is responsible for providing gold standard support to retail investors and their financial advisors. The team develops and maintains meaningful relationships with investors and financial advisors in order to effectively communicate important product updates and provide support. The Investor Relations Associate works as part of a team handling inbound phone calls from investors and financial advisors in addition to making proactive phone calls to targeted financial advisors. This position is a good opportunity for an individual looking to gain in-depth product knowledge and effective communication strategies and has an opportunity for exposure across many areas of the firm. The firm is looking for a bright, well-educated candidate who is detail-oriented, organized and energetic with excellent communication skills and professional presentation.
Provide efficient and courteous phone service in response to information requests from financial advisors, investors and financial intermediaries.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of firm???s historical and current investment products, business processes and regulatory rules associated with products
Effectively communicate product updates to financial advisors and investors
Report trends and identify opportunities for targeted outbound communication to financial advisors
Assess the needs of each investor and financial advisor and deliver gold standard service.
Respond to written and electronic correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
Review incoming investment account paperwork and work directly with financial advisors to resolve any requests not in good order.
Assist with review of investor account correspondence, including distribution statements and tax forms.
Maintain expert knowledge of procedures for processing various types of transactions including transfers, redemptions, and account maintenance.
Maintain competitive intelligence relevant to the firm and markets and stay current with news and media updates
Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in an investor or client relationship role
Excellent communication including oral, written and presentation skills
Service-oriented, courteous, strong team player
Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
Self-starting personality that can work well with limited direction and within tight deadlines
Well-suited to work within an entrepreneurial culture that places a premium on performance
