Our Advocates consult with customers every day, helping them navigate the complex health care system. As the primary point of contact for our clients' employees, they help customers unravel complicated issues related to insurance coverage, personal finances, and the health care system; they connect customers to resources, and create a plan of action to help customers resolve critical access to care issues. Working in a team environment, Advocates also assist their customers in assessing, planning, and selecting health care & employer benefit options that meet each individual's health and financial situation. Advocates build professional relationships with employees nationwide, while providing insights and expertise to improve their well-being.

?? Provide exceptional health system navigation support to consumers, offering expertise, compassion and empathy
?? Assist customer in reviewing and assessing available health care & employer benefit options, tailoring the conversation to each individual??s unique financial and health situation
?? Use active listening and probing questions to fully understand a customer??s issue and how best to address it
?? Collaborate with a Research Advocate to fully investigate and resolve a customer??s issues
?? Fully own all customer communications, including those done via phone, appointments, and Web chat
?? Act as an expert on your clients?? employer-sponsored benefits, tools, and resources
?? Summarize calls, program referrals, and research requests in the case management system
?? Identify and resolve barriers for customers attempting to access care
?? Resolve customer needs related to:
?? Access to care issues
?? Insurance coverage and denial issues
?? Identification of providers or facilities
?? Identification of prescription drug alternatives
?? Education on employee health and retirement benefit options
Working hours: 7 AM - 7 PM

--Strong verbal & written communication skills
--Experience or strong interest in the health care or insurance industries
--Ability to work independently and also collaborate in a team environment
--Ability to effectively organize daily work activities to meet deadlines
--Proficiency with Windows PC navigation and keyboarding skills
--Experience with MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
--Frequent computer use at a workstation for extended periods of time
--Participate in ongoing training sessions and meetings
--Ability to be flexible with various daytime shifts and possible overtime when business needs require
--Ability to coordinate phone time including making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls consecutively throughout the day
?? 4 year college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Health Administration, Public Health or similar field with minimum GPA of 3.0.
?? 4+ years?? experience in health care or employer-sponsored benefits.
?? Detailed knowledge of health benefits, including PPO plans, High deductible, HSAs and HRAs,
?? Understanding of specific plan coverages and exclusions in medical, prescription, dental, vision, and behavioral health/substance abuse
?? Experience with desktop/Windows navigation and keyboarding skills.
?? Experience with MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
