Inside Sales Rep
The main function of this position is to generate sales by making pro-active sales calls, attacking marketing leads and working in the company trade show booth. In addition you will assist and support
the Key Account Manager(s) on all sales-related administrative duties. Respond on a direct basis to the Key Account Manager and customer requests. Deal directly with customer to support requests, processing orders and questions regarding service, products, pricing and technical information.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?? Sales generating activities.
?? Make pro-active sale phone calls.
?? Work company trade show booth.
?? Make sales calls with corresponding KAM.
?? Support Key Account Managers and their customers.
?? Qualify marketing leads for KAM territory.
?? Schedule appointments and follow-ups with Key Account Customers.
?? Maintain current customer projects.
?? Process and follow up on quotation & sample requests.
?? Maintain quotation log.
?? Manage contingency plan for special requirement customers and keep current.
?? Support Contract Review procedures as required.
?? Administrate all phone, fax and email communication / purchase requirements (including retrieval from
customer portal, where required).
?? Process sample requests and item master paperwork as needed.
?? Attend and participate in training and/or coaching sessions as it pertains to product knowledge,
continual improvement, etc.
?? Set up new customers in Syteline/ Goldmine system.
?? Use Syteline and/or Goldmine to: process orders, retrieve and verify customer information, check stock
status information, purchase order status, and make changes to purchase orders, as required.
?? Confirms Purchase Orders and any changes back to the customer (in writing) via fax or email.
?? Works closely with production control regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments and lead times.
?? Researches and rectifies customer problems or concerns.
?? Work primarily in Goldmine and log all customer related activities immediately.
?? Authorizes credit card transactions for customers.
?? Handle any general overflow and administrative requirements in the sales department as needed.
?? Handle walk in customers.
Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Required Skills and Attributes:
Technical sales background
o Mechanical Minded / Quick to pick up on new concepts
o Basic Math conversion and formula skills
o Ability to read and interpret an engineered drawing
o Know how to use calipers
o Knowledge of all customer-related tasks
