Director Of Operations

Our Client based in Phoenix is looking for a Director of Operations for their High Performance Automotive business firm located in Southern California. The director of operations is the executive in charge of strategy for a company or organization. The director of operations helps design a winning strategy for the company oversees the managers as they carry out the plan, measures the results of the strategy.

Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
Improve the budgeting process on a continual basis through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets.
Find new areas for growth and improvement for each of the company's divisions or branches in accordance with the overall corporate strategy
Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics

Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Skills:
Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Outstanding communication and people skills
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metric

Qualifications:
Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
Must have 5 years experience in automotive industry
