Child Care Administrator

Our client in Haverhill has a permanent position $18.00 p/hr for Child Care Administrator hours are M-F 1:00 pm to 6:00 (30 hours per week) 8:00 am to 6:00 pm during non school days and summers (40 hours)

POSITION: CHILD CARE ADMINISTRATOR

REPORTS TO: COO

PURPOSE: carries responsibility for planning and implementation of child care services and assists with the curriculum which help girls develop to their best capabilities. Oversees SPARK program and curriculum.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities:

Oversee state financial assistance program for after school program for children.

Responsible for the overall management of the EEC, DCF, CACFP & CCC programs

Implement behavioral plans for children as necessary.

Responsible for being on all field trips to manage child behaviors.

Interact with children, ensuring that case notes are done to track progress of child in program. Case notes should be done on each child on a bi-weekly basis.

Contact social services agencies and the educational system to present our program and services

Keep Site Coordinator informed of problems, concerns, needs, trends and activities.

Promote public interest for the program by participating in community functions.

Manage and oversee CACFP program, administer meals, creating monthly menus and maintaining all reporting necessary for licensing. Insure that kitchen area is in clean condition and that all equipment is safe.

Responsible for insuring full utilization of contracts, salary adjustments will be tied to utilization of contracts. During afterschool, utilization is 52. During the summer, utilization is 70.

Acting manager when Site Coordinator not onsite

Must fill in to support staff in their absence to make sure program staffing remains in ratio per EEC licensing regulations
Salary will commensurate with utilization of slots

Working hours: 1 PM - 6 PM

Skills:
Must be motivated, energetic and eager to learn
Must be proficient in Microsoft office
Ability to communicate and listen clearly
Must have excellent written and verbal skills

Qualifications:
Education REQUIREMENT: The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Early Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Education or 3-5 years of experience in early education.

Must have worked with children ages 5-13 years of age

Must be able pass drug screen and a year back round check
