Hotel Front Desk Supervisor

A small hotel in Kirkland is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to lead their team of front desk agents to provide exceptional service to all guests. This leader will be responsible for all functions of the front desk, including reservations, guest services, staff scheduling, preparing reports, and operational budgeting. The ideal Hotel Front Desk Supervisor will have management experience within the hospitality industry, understand general accounting procedures, and have a solutions-oriented mindset. Staff must be flexible to work nights and weekends during peak seasons to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the hiring, training, and cross-training of all front office personnel
- Schedules front office staff and supervise workload during shifts
- Evaluates the job performance of each front office employee
- Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments
- Maintains master key control
- Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated
- Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously
- Updates group information. Maintains, monitors, and prepares group requirements. Relays information to appropriate personnel.
- Works within the allocated budget for the front office
- Checks cashiers in and out and verifies banks and deposits at the end of each shift
- Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Analyse rate variance, monitor credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count. Monitor selling status of house daily. Ie flash report, allowance etc.
- Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and house rules
- Operate all aspects of Front Office computer system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis, and simple configuration changes
- Prepare revenue and occupancy forecasting
- Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner
- Review daily front office work and activity reports generated by Night Audit
- Review Front office log book and Guest feedback forms on a daily basis
- Maintain an organised and comprehensive filing system with documentation of purchases, vouchering, schedules, forecasts, reports and tracking logs
- Perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications:
- Must be an effective communicator with diverse clientele and staff
- Minimum of one year of hotel front desk supervisory experience
- Experience handling cash
- Familiar with general accounting procedures
- Able to perform general administrative tasks (reports, tracking, drafting communications, etc.)
- Must be focused on developing a team that creates positive guest experiences during every interaction


Salary, Location & Hours:
- Location: Kirkland, WA 98034
- Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (some overtime required)
- Schedule: Varies, but must be available to work nights and weekends during peak travel season
- Salary: $36,000 per year
