Customer Service Representative Associate
We currently have an opportunity with a Fortune 100 insurance company located in Denison, TX. This is a rapidly growing industry and they urgently need someone with customer service experience as well as excellent communication skills. This is a year contract that has a possibility to be extended but will be based upon the needs of the business. This is not a commissioned sales position. This position is an opportunity for you learn and establish yourself in a fast paced, high volume, growth environment.
Pay rate: $13
Work Hours: Flexible schedule between 8am and 6pm
Under general supervision, takes inbound calls in a call center environment and performs outbound calls to existing providers to ensure accurate data is on file in multiple systems.
Inbound calls are from contracted providers and may be escalated.
Inbound/Outbound call team handles requests by mail, telephone, or in person regarding insurance claims/policies and provider contracts.
Responds to inquiries from provider and/or others for information and assistance.
Performs research to respond to inquiries and interprets policy provisions to determine most effective response.
Mails or routes claim forms and supporting documentation to various units for final processing. Independently responds to inquiries or issues/complaints from routine to moderate complexity. Responsible for reporting and tracking provider calls.
Should be able to research multiple systems for resolutions and use critical thinking skills to resolve complex issues.
May seek assistance with complex issues.
Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Position typically requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to understand and interpret policy provisions.
Ability to independently think and make decisions.
Ability to learn and use multiple computer programs/systems to help answer inquiries and resolve issues.
Excellent follow-up skills.
Average: 5,000 to 8,000 keystrokes per hour
Communication, analytical and problem solving skills are a must.
Candidate must have the ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.
Candidate must be very detail oriented.
Prefer one year experience in health care or managed care.
Two to five years of customer service experience.
