Senior Auditor

A local CPA firm has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Auditor - If you are an experienced, outgoing and highly enthusiastic individual with a knack for training and coaching others this is a great opportunity. You will be working with several clients in the area and performing challenging, complex and oftentimes high-risk audits. Furthermore, this position brings with it the chance to be a mentor, motivator, and a team player.

Responsibilities:
-The Senior Auditor plans the audits in accordance with GAAP and a risk-based audit approach, while ensuring strict adherence to firm methodologies

-Plans, performs, and documents testing in high risk and complex audit areas, e.g. design of tests of controls and audit procedures. Perform testing in multiple interdependent audit areas and active management of audit planning and implementation

-Guide and oversee work of staff auditors and other senior staff

-Trains/mentors staff and reviews staff audit testing and documentation

-Drafts financial statements, reports and letters communicating required information to those charged with governance

-Work directly with clients on resolving financial reporting and compliance issues

-Provide clients with information related to authoritative guidance and best practices

-Project manage one or more client assignments simultaneously, ensuring overall success of each project

-Share and transfer knowledge to other members of the team

-Develop a deeper personal knowledge and skills in technical field

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-Ability to direct an audit engagement from planning to issuance of deliverables, and ability to ensure timely completion of all components in the engagement

-High verbal and written communication ability

Qualifications:
???Bachelor???s Degree in Accounting

???2+ years of audit experience, including experience as an in-charge auditor

???CPA or active CPA track professional

???Highly preferred ??? experience auditing financial statements for non-profit entities
