Office Manager

A client of ours is currently searching for an experienced Office Manager to manage the administrative functions of its Lexington, Kentucky Office. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office with respect to personnel and facilities management and promoting high-performance standards among the staff. Candidates must have 5+ years of management experience with emphasis on daily operations, staff administration, and employee relations. Law firm management experience preferred. Excellent management, communication, organizational and independent judgment skills are required.

Responsibilities:
??? Supervision of legal secretaries and administrative support staff.
??? Orientation, training, and development of staff.
??? Performance evaluations of staff.
??? Employee relations.
??? Resource allocation.
??? Facilities management regarding copy, mail, delivery and other service providers.
??? Facilities management regarding office maintenance and various day to day needs.
??? Prepare and manage Lexington office operating expense budget.
??? Develop office procedures, as needed.
??? Work collaboratively with the firm-wide HR department on all areas of personnel management: hiring; performance management; orientation; training and development; employee relations; compensation and terminations, etc.
??? Plan various office meetings and assist with various office social functions, as needed.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
--Bachelor's Degree is required.
--5+ years of law firm or professional services and HR management experience.
--Experience hiring, leading and managing hourly staff including conflict resolution, coaching, development, and motivation.
--Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
--Exceptional client service mentality.
--Ability to work cooperatively with other managers to effectively manage resource allocation across all support staff positions.
--Experience in office facilities management working with building management personnel on issues such as maintenance plans, services, security, space planning, etc.
--Experience in management of office services, i.e., copiers, mail machines, vending services, etc.
--Budgeting experience.
--Prior experience with handling change management within an organization.
--Professional appearance and manner.
--Basic accounting skills are preferred.
