Recruiter

A logistics company in Fremont, CA is looking to fill a role for a temporary recruiter. The assignment is estimated to continue until at least the end of August and maybe longer.

The Field Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the designated region. This will be achieved through the development of local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. The recruiter will be filling warehouse roles but working in an office environment.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
Develop and execute recruiting plans.
Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
Assist in development and facilitation of facility recruiting programs to include: leading the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position; efficiently and effectively filling open positions; and, conducting regular follow-up with managers to determine program effectiveness.
Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
Research, recommend and source candidates through a variety of resources; job fairs, postings, social networks etc.
Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This position requires:

Effective oral and written communication skills.
The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Excellent follow up skills
The ability to communicate and interface with many corporate and employee levels.
The ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Must possess working knowledge of state and federal labor laws.
The ability to apply strict confidentiality rules to daily workload.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; WORD, EXCEL, Outlook
Must possess some experience in recruiting and hiring. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of both experience and education
1-2 years experience either at a Staffing Agency or Corporate level or experience with HR or recruiting
