Human Resources Assistant

Our client in Chelmsford, Ma a plastics manufacturer, is looking for a temp to perm HR Assistant for their office.
The Human Resources Assistant has the responsibility of maintaining all employee records A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities:
??? Monitor time and attendance by reviewing employee time cards; enter vacation, and missing times.
??? Create new hire folders and update new hire packets accordingly.
??? Assist HR Manager & Generalist with the hiring process documentation.
??? May verify employment authorization on E-Verify for new hires.
??? Create terminations packets, and request checks for hours worked and vacation
??? Keep the Human Resource Department termination archives up to date.
??? Maintain and update all leaves of absence, FMLA, Disability, ADA. Etc.
??? Maintain all files, which include filing for the Human Resource Department.
??? Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
??? Copy & Scan documents for the Human Resource Department.
??? Working with the HR Manager coordinate events, meetings as needed, and per policy events.
??? Updates all HR & communication boards, and T.V. with safety, HR updates, and events.
??? Assists in maintains and updates employee badge system, provides access and removal as needed.
??? Enters new hires into the ADP time clock, and removes access.
??? Updates and maintains I-9 Non-Active and Active Folders.
??? Work with HR Manager and collect Injury Reports from supervisors, enter Workers Comp claims, update files, Dr.s visits, and return to work with employees.
??? Other tasks may be assigned and communicated.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
--Ability to speak and read English, bilingual a plus
--Must be able to juggle various tasks.
--Must be a high energy person, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
--Computer proficient with word, excel, power point and outlook.

Qualifications:
1-2 years??? experience in Human Resource /Office environment
