Administrative Assistant-Chicago IL

Our client, a non for profit, is looking for an administrative assistant for their downtown Chicago office. This is much more of an analytical position, they need someone who can read and interpret data and present their findings. This is a temporary position, lasting about 6 months, full time hours, Monday-Friday. It's a one step interview process with a face to face interview at our client's office.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate survey administration between member food banks and survey vendor
Support data collection and required reporting from member food banks through internal web-based application
Schedule and manage communications for required reporting, including training webinars for member food banks
With guidance from Sr. Manager of Data & Analytics, manage data integrity efforts with data quality control reviews and follow up communication with food banks, as required
Prepare quarterly and annual reports on food bank activities, operations, and financials. Pull data from Access/SQL database and publish summary and detailed reports in Excel
Support internal data requests with ad hoc reporting
Update and maintain Data and Analytics Team???s presence on organization???s SharePoint-based intranet site
Assist with development of analytical presentations to member food banks, internal departments, donors, and legislators

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Ability to understand a business need and utilize data and analysis to provide insight or support for business decisions
Passionate about numbers, reporting, tracking
Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of meeting deadlines and follow-up
Committed to organizational mission of ending hunger

Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with databases and manipulation of data
Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access or other relational databases
Familiarity with Tableau or other BI applications a plus
