Human Resources Business Partner
The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of Human Resource expertise and resources to support achievement of business and financial objectives of the Quality and Manufacturing organizations. Acting as a partner to Senior Management, the incumbent will work closely with executives and other leaders to plan and execute strategic and tactical HR initiatives that are aligned with corporate and business unit goals. Understands the business and financial necessities, and balances business interests with employee advocacy. This position will support a client base of ~300 employees, and will report directly to the SVP of Human Resources.
Meets regularly with executive leaders to discuss and assess their business and operational needs and develop HR plans that can be brought to bear to drive organizational success.
Assesses strategic business objectives, workplace environment, workforce issues and feedback from senior leadership and employees. Identifies HR priorities and imperatives. With the HR team develops HR strategic and tactical plans that are aligned with the needs of the business units and the corporate goals and objectives.
Works closely with senior executives and people managers to provide expertise and hands on support in multiple areas including: headcount planning, talent management, sourcing and talent acquisition, on boarding and employee retention, employee relations, organizational development, management coaching, performance management, change management, regulatory compliance, employee communications, training and more.
Works closely with cross functional teams in a collegial and proactive manner on a broad range of projects related to the growth of the business; e.g., M&A, Strategic Planning, and Operational Excellence.
Coaches executives, managers and employees on performance management processes, including progressive discipline, development plans, setting goals and objectives, etc.
Responds to employee concerns and complaints. Conducts investigations and takes corrective action. Ensures compliance with employment law standards.
Periodically assesses employee relations climate including reasons for satisfaction, dissatisfaction and turnover.
Works very closely with business partner colleague as a unified team, ensuring consistency and robust communication among one another, as well as among cross-functional client groups.
Ensures compliance with companywide HR policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends changes to corporate policies that ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
BS/BA plus 7+ years' experience as an HR Generalist or Business Partner with solid work experience and knowledge across multiple HR functions.
Experience with the human capital components of M&A a plus.
Experience working with a multi-shift manufacturing facility a plus.
Experience working in the Pharmaceutical of Life Science industry a plus.
Demonstrated track record in successfully navigating complex employee relations issues
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required along with initiative, sound judgment and decision making ability.
Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of leaders and employees - strong listening, relationship building, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
