Customer Service

A state of the art medical company in Branford is looking for an experienced customer service representative. This a direct hire opportunity paying between 45-50k.

A portion of the job consists of answering and routing all inbound calls. The Customer Service portion consists of handling customer inquiries (via phone, fax and email), providing sales quotes,
entering customer orders, and managing customer accounts as assigned

Responsibilities:
1. Answering inbound calls and routing appropriately.
2. Retrieving and processing all inbound accessory sales orders sent in via email or fax.
Verifying all details of the purchase order, verifying product availability, and providing order
confirmations.
3. Answering customer sales inquiries and providing purchase order status.
4. Entering purchase orders and miscellaneous shipment orders as required.
5. Managing Key Account purchase orders (as assigned) utilizing the Account's proprietary web
portal. This may include properly arranging and routing shipments, generating shipping labels
as required, adhering to any and all Quality Plan requirements, following-up with assigned
accounts, and follow-through with order fulfillment.
6. Entering and retrieving sales order and customer information into the ERP system (Macola).
7. Recording any customer complaints, and issuing return authorization numbers per company
policy. Dispositioning materials through Quality upon return, and issuing credits as required.
8. Coordinating and planning trade show booth space and housing reservations as required

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
1. Previous customer service experience within a manufacturing organization environment.
2. Knowledge/experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing setting (Macola preferred).
3. Demonstrate professional manner both on the phone and in person. Ability to communicate
effectively with customers and problem solve as needed. Exhibit patience with customers.
4. Willingness and ability to be flexible and adopt/adapt to changing responsibilities as needed or
requested by the department/organization.
