Guided by the values of the company, the Production Operations Controller is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and monitoring the production operations' financial & operational performance.
??? Serves alongside the Georgia operations leader to lead all operational and financial aspects of 2 production plants, 1 warehouse and surrounding 3rd party feeder warehouses.
??? Responsibility and accountability for plant financial performance including sales, plant costs, absorption, cost accounting and inventory accuracy.
??? Partners with supply chain, production and quality teams to design and implement inventory management system to ensure production & inventory transactions are recorded accurately and discrepancies are resolved timely.
??? Partners with financial operations to establish sustainable internal control infrastructure aligned to overall business practices to ensure adequate monitoring and control environment is followed throughout the plant, including purchasing controls, capital authorization requests, and human resources.
??? Drives identification of business requirements that support implementation of more robust ERP system for production operations, ensuring alignment of business requirements with technology roadmap for systems implementation. Key member of project team to lead system improvement initiatives designed to improve and sustain plant operations
??? Aligned with US business partner and accounting operations teams to ensure alignment with corporate accounting practices and financial timetables for actual and estimated financial results are followed.
??? Key part of Georgia production transformation team designed to improve the efficiency of the plant, oversee capital improvement projects (including analyzing return on investment decisions), improve product quality and safety and ultimately deliver on the company???s strategic objectives.

??? Proficient in manufacturing and inventory management systems (e.g. SAP), Microsoft Office, business intelligence and online collaboration tools.
??? Bachelor's degree with at least 7-10 years of relevant accounting and controls experience. Certified Public Accountant is preferable
??? Experience in production / manufacturing environment required.
??? Position is based in Tifton, Georgia. Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time (primarily to North Carolina headquarters).
