Human Resources Assistant

A large, well known distribution company has an exciting job opening for an HR/Payroll Assistant in Southeast Tucson. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking long-term employment, and the chance to work for a very large firm. This position will be Monday - Friday from 3:00PM to 11:30PM (Second shift) with occasional Saturdays required.

Assists HR department with clerical/administrative duties. Handles payroll system, petty cash, and payroll adjustments/increases. Completes calendar entries as needed. Updates and maintains the HRIS to include personnel files, profiles, new hire paperwork and personnel change status. Responds to inquiries regarding HR related issues. Completes employment verification and other duties as needed.

Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

-5+ years Payroll experience required
-Good written/verbal communication skills
-Must have flexibility in scheduling
-Prior Human Resources experience preferred
-Must maintain high degree of confidentiality and have the ability to prioritize
-Must be highly organized with the ability to multitask.
-Demonstrated ability to respond/work effectively in rapidly changing environment.
-Strong PC skills a must
-Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
