Manufacturing Engineering Mechanic - 3rd Shift

Provide all aspects of production line support to programmable logic controlled assembly equipment for the paper cone manufacturing and trimming operation to ensure daily production schedules are met. Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment down situations and determining root cause to help drive corrective action. Other daily responsibilities include taking/recording statistical process control measurements, interfacing with system controls to make adjustments and optimize operating parameters (i.e. sensors, valves, temperature controllers, die set alignment, etc.), tool cleaning, executing requirements of daily start-up checklists, equipment/tooling/product changeovers, spare parts ordering, and performing preventative maintenance and calibration. Regular daily inspection of product coming off the machines to insure the quality is per our customer???s expectations.
Experience with aligning and inspection of motors, pumps, conveyers, and belt driven equipment. Some heavy lifting may be required, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally required. Experience with all types of piping systems and piping materials required. Work closely with manufacturing engineers and production supervisors to determine root cause of in process defects, identify/implement improvements to work methods, perform equipment modifications, collect data, and support the introduction of new products. Provide daily written feedback on the performance of the equipment to management team.
Working hours: 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM
--Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, and or equivalent work experience is required.
--Ability to work in a 24x7 work schedule environment and or work off shifts and weekends required.
--Thorough understanding of pneumatics, sensors, hydraulics, and electromechanical troubleshooting skills required.
--Strong schematic reading and interpretation experience and skills required.
--Experience and knowledge of PLC's and controls required.
--Experience with aligning motor operated equipment and conveyers required.
--Experience repairing and installing PVC and copper piping required.
--Must possess strong problem solving skills
--PC skills competence in MS Office tools including, Outlook, Excel, Word etc..
--Experience supporting Allen Bradley PLC's using Wonderware In Control software preferred
--Adept motion controllers and robotics experience preferred.
--Experience with Alase laser cutting software or equivalent preferred.
--Good interpersonal communication, and decision-making skills preferred.
--Works well in a team environment.
