Supply Chain Manager
To manage planning and materials, warehouse, distribution and Shipping teams on site to ensure that we maximize business efficiency across the full Supply Chain. To create a single team focus across all areas to improve utilization of space, inventory, capital and resources.
-Team Development - Involvement in the selection process for direct reports. Responsible for the recruitment of the right caliber of people for levels below direct reports. Ensures that the people in their operation are managed in line with company procedures in all aspects of their employment, ensures there is a positive employee relations culture where indicators such as grievances, absence, turnover rates are in control. Owns training and development and performance management of individuals within their area to enable progression to resource growth or to replace current roles, and to ensure that the necessary skills are in place at all levels.
-Employee Relations - Support and develop a culture within their operation where individuals feel able to challenge the status quo and encourage feedback from all levels. Support and implement change processes within their area in line with company values.
-Measurement & Control - Utilize appropriate agreed KPIs as a basis for the development of Performance Improvement Plans within the Supply Chain Function and cascade these KPIs through the Supply Chain Teams, ensuring that they are translated and used at all levels. Plan, organize, and measure resources to ensure that targets are met.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Must be able to work under pressure and capable of reacting to ever changing needs of customers.
Continuous improvement approach/skills and ability to work at strategic level.
Senior Management experience within multiple Supply Chain functions ideally in the food industry.
Experience of taking a lead role with Supply Chain operating systems, including but not limited to RGP and other best of breed planning systems, Capacity modelling & inventory control systems.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to influence others in problem solving issues.
One must be able to efficiently promote the design, development, and implementation of warehouse, distribution and logistics solutions. They manage labor costs, personnel productivity, inventory levels, data accuracy and stocking strategies. They measure and report on the effectiveness of departmental activities and operations.
