Call Center Representative Inbound

You will be working in an inbound call center. As a CSR, you will provide front-line phone customer service to policyholders of MetLife. MetLife is sold through employers as an auxiliary benefit & covers such things as hospital coverage, accident insurance, cancer insurance, & other critical illnesses. CSRs will handle 40-50 calls daily. The majority of calls will be regarding insurance claims and/or the types of coverage's they have. A great deal of empathy is required as these policyholders all are calling during a time in their life when they are critically ill or a life-changing/altering situation has happened to them. CSRs need to ensure customer satisfaction and strive to ensure service standards are met. Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers to resolve questions and issues. Develop and maintain a solid working knowledge of the insurance industry and all products, services and processes performed by the team. Collaborate with management or other team members as appropriate to proactively address service issues and concerns. Work as a team to meet client service level agreements
Customer Service experience is required.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Must be able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) and provide professional customer service.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications.
Must be able to compose effective business correspondence.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ideally type test of 35-40 wpm.
Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities.
The physical elements of this position require the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, use a computer for extended periods of time, and use the telephone to communicate with customers 100% of the day.
High school education or GED require
