Account Manager- ASTM Standard Pipe
The Accounts Manager is a critical role which will maintain relationships with distributors, end user customers and within the internal structure to facilitate generating ASTM Standard pipe product inquiries to completion of the sale. This position will also service and maintain relationships with customers to assure products sold are forecast, manufactured and shipped as ordered in agreed time frame. Forecast, manage, monitor and be accountable for designated end users and distributors. The Accounts Manager reports into the Director - Line Pipe.
??? Managing a portfolio of accounts in the region (defined below) to achieve long-term success
??? Developing positive relationships and handling customers??? needs
??? Generating new sales using existing and potential customer networks
??? Act as the point of contact for existing and potential customers
??? Interact with customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings
??? Liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including inside sales, operations and quality departments) to improve the entire customer experience.
??? Work closely with inside sales team to understand product availability, pricing, upcoming rolling???s etc
??? Be actively involved in the forecasting exercise along with inside sales team
??? Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
??? Report on the status of accounts and transactions
??? Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
??? Monitor sales metrics (e.g. monthly goals, quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
??? Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
??? This position will be required to travel within the assigned territory
??? Arrange for customer visits to the plants if and when required
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
--Must have Standard ASTM pipe experience
--Must have 3-5 years of Sales experience
--Must have direct industry industrial experience
--Proven work experience as a Sales account manager or Sales account executive
--Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience
??? Knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
??? Understanding of sales performance metrics
??? Excellent communication and negotiation skills
??? Proven ability to attend to multiple accounts at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
??? Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
??? College degree in relevant field
??? Must have 5 years of work experience with the sales of the product in the region
??? Minimum be able to travel 50%
??? Must be based in the sales region: ME, NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, MI, OH, WV, VT, NH, MA, RI, or CT
