Medical Record Administrator

A client of ours in Lexington, KY is looking for 2-3 Medical Records Specialists to join their team. This position is responsible for accurately collecting and delivering requested medical information regardless of media type adhering to all federal and state laws in accordance with HIPAA Authorization and Guidelines.

Responsibilities:
--Receive written requests for medical information and evaluate to determine if request is valid
--Process valid requests to completion
--Responds to telephone inquiries regarding status of requests and how to obtain medical information
--Operates and troubleshoots equipment
--Performs support functions to maintain smooth workflow
--All other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
--High School Diploma minimum
--Problem solving skills to solve process problems
--Work well under time constraints and productivity requirements
--Willing to follow established procedures yet, be creative to offer suggestions for improvements
--Flexibility to accept different work hours and assignments
--Customer service background
--Detail oriented work style
--Commitment to accuracy and quality
--Self-motivated and work independently
--Motivated by accountability to productivity, accuracy and timeliness measurements
